Submitting An Infringement or Right-to-Use Search Request By Mail

Inventors may request to have either an infringement or right-to-use search for an invention by submitting an initial minimum payment of one thousand dollars ($1,000) and an invention disclosure to Kevin Weldon by mail. Please include your contact information and a detailed description of your invention along with said initial minimum payment of $1,000.

Upon receipt of your request, Kevin Weldon will review your invention and quote you a reasonable price for performing a complete search. If no agreement is made on the price, then Kevin Weldon will promptly return all your invention disclosure papers along with your $1,000 initial payment.

Submitting A Validity Search Request by Mail

Inventors may request by mail to have a VALIDITY search for an invention by simply identifying the U.S. Patent No., first named inventor, date the patent was granted, claims of interest along with submitting an initial minimum payment of one thousand dollars ($1,000) to Kevin Weldon by mail. Please also include your contact information. 

Upon receipt of your request, Kevin Weldon will review the U.S. Patent and claims and quote you a reasonable price for performing a complete search. If no agreement is made on the price, then Kevin Weldon will promptly return all your written validity search request papers along with your $1,000 initial payment.

Validity Search

An exhaustive prior art search to invalidate some or all the claims in an unexpired U.S. patent under either 35 U.S.C. 102 or 35 U.S.C. 103. My consideration of prior art under 35 U.S.C. 103 takes into consideration the U.S. Supreme Courts decision in KSR International Co. v. Teleflex Inc., et al.

Infringement Search

An exhaustive search to determine whether an invention idea infringes any unexpired U.S. Patent claim or any pending U.S. Patent Application Publication claim.

$2,500 - $8,000

Right-to-Use Search

An in depth search to determine whether an invention idea is in the public domain by conducting a search for "grandfather" prior art, that is prior art having a date of publication at least seventeen (17) years before the date a new product is anticipated to be manufactured.
